Link is our hero in Skyward Sword and he starts off the game as a young man living in Skyloft, a land above the clouds. Link will later journey down to Hyrule, the land beneath the clouds which is ruled by evil. It is believed that this is the oldest Link that we have seen in any Zelda game to date. Throughout his quest, he will use a standard wide variety of inventory items as he battles through the overworld and dungeons, attempting to save Hyrule from the evil that lurks. Link's partner, a female "spirit-like" entity, is the embodiment of the Skyward Sword and will allow Link to travel from Skyloft to Hyrule. | |||
