===Fado===

Fado is a female Kokiri who has a distinct look from the rest of the Kokiri children. Early on in the game she can be found on a higher platform in the center of the forest. You can reach her by climbing up the ramp near Saria's house and walking across two rope bridges. She applauds you for reaching her at this higher platform and refers to Link as being a 'real man'. She gives you some instructional tips on how to use the C-up button as a camera.

Fado can be found within the Lost Woods when Link is an adult and she plays a part in the Trading Sequence. Link returns to the Lost Woods in search of Grog, but he is nowhere to be found. Instead, Link will find Fado near a tree stump. Fado states that everyone who gets lost in the Lost Woods will eventually become lost and turn into Stalfos. After seeing the Odd Potion, she states that the mushroom it is made out of is native to the Kokiri Forest and it must be returned. In exchange for the Odd Potion, Fado will give Link the Poachers Saw, an item left behind by Grog.

===Know-It-All-Brothers===

The Know-It-All-Brothers are three Kokiri boys who serve as guides on how to use some of the basic functions in the game. Their house is located at the west end of Kokiri Forest, near the Forest Training Center. One of the boys will teach you about the various icons at the top of the screen. Another boy will teach you about the map and the three different types of items; equipment items, C-Button items, and Quest items. The third brother will teach you how to use the C-up button to talk to Navi, and to change the camera view.

The three brothers never leave the house throughout most of Link's adventure. Even when Link returns to Kokiri Forest as an adult, the three brothers are still in their small house. None of the brothers recognize Link when he come back as an adult, and they state that they are awaiting the return of Link.

It is not until the end credits that the brothers finally leave the house. They can be seen at Lon Lon Ranch during the End Credits celebration. Strangely enough, the Kokiri children all seem to be perfectly fine in Lon Lon Ranch, even though it is stated that the Kokiri children cannot leave the Kokiri Forest or else they will die.

===Kokiri Twins===

The Kokiri Twins live in the east end of the Kokiri Forest, inside of the house that is conveniently titled, House of Twins. One of the twins is found inside of the house and if you speak to her, she tells you about the different types of [[Rupee]]s. The second twin is found within the Kokiri Forest Shop. She gives you the hint that most the items for sale in the shop can be found for free within the Forest. She also gives you some instructions on how to use the Deku Shield. Both of the twins will be in their same locations when Link returns as an adult. They do not recognize Link, and if you speak to them, they are both awaiting the return of Link and Saria.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Malon is a farm girl who works and lives in Lon Lon Ranch with her father Talon and Ingo. She has red hair and pointed Hylian ears, dressed in simple farm clothes and brown boots, and as an easter egg from Nintendo, she also wears a Bowser pin. Link first meets Malon when he reaches Hyrule Castle Town for the first time, and she calls him "Fairy Boy" because of Navi. She tells Link she has not seen her father in a while and asks Link to look for him, giving Link a weird egg and sends him on his way. The eggs hatches into a Cucco which crows to wake Talon up when Link find him sleeping by the back door to Hyrule Castle. Malon then returns to the ranch with Talon and can be found there throughout the game. She has a special bond with Epona the horse, and she teaches Link Epona's Song, a song her dead mother composed, which allows Link to bond with and summon Epona to his location when he is an adult. When Epona's Song is played to a cow, it will fill a empty bottle with Lon Lon milk. Malon often sings Epona's Song and can be heard singing at Lon Lon Ranch day and night.

When Link returns to Lon Lon Ranch seven years later, Ingo has taken over and Talon is gone. Malon, however, is still working there because she fears the mistreatment of the animals. After Link beats Ingo at the horse race and escapes the ranch with Epona, Ingo becomes much nicer and Talon comes back to run the ranch. Malon thanks Link for all his help, entrusts Epona to his care, and can be challenged to a horse race. If Link beats Malon in a horse race, she gives Link a cow to keep in his home in the Kokiri Forest. This cow can supply Link with Lon Lon milk.

===Talon===

Talon is the owner of Lon Lon Ranch. He slightly resembles Mario from the Mario series as an easter egg (since Ingo slightly resembles Luigi). He is a rather portly fellow, sporting a bald head and mustache, wearing jean overalls, a red undershirt, brown boots and as another easter egg, a bowser pin like Malon's. He seems to be very lazy and sleeps almost all the day and all the night. His daughter is Malon, who he entrusts the horse [[Epona]].

Link first meets Talon sleeping outside the back door to Hyrule Castle, having fallen asleep while delivering milk. Link wakes him up with a cucco given to him by Malon, and Talon wakes up with a jolt, rushing back to the ranch. At the ranch, Talon will let Link play the Super Cucco finding game, where Link must find the three special cuccos before the time limit runs out. Success nets Link a bottle of milk, and some joking from Talon about if Link wants to marry Malon.  

During the seven years Link is sealed, Talon is kicked off the ranch by Ingo. He can be found sleeping in a house in Kakariko Village, and can be woken by the Pocket Cucco as part of the Trading Sequence. When Link frees the ranch, Talon no longer sleeps all the time and says he will turn over a new leaf, returning to the ranch to work hard.

===Ingo===

Ingo slightly resembles Luigi from the Mario series as an easter egg (since Talon slightly resembles Mario). He is portrayed as being skinny and having a large black mustache, wearing pink overalls with a green shirt underneath. When Link first meets him at Lon Lon Ranch, he is grumpy and complains about doing all the work for Talon, who he believes is lazy.

During the seven years that have passed, Ganondorf gave Ingo ownership of the Ranch, and Ingo kicked Talon out, forcing Malon to do the hard work. After Link beats him at a horse race, Ingo turns evil, trapping Link and Epona at the ranch. Link and Epona easily escape by jumping the fence, and when they return, Ingo's personality has changed. He seems to be happy and grateful that he works under Talon.

===Skull Kid===

Skull Kid appears in the Lost Woods, but disappears when Link gets too close to him. Skull Kid can be befriended while standing on the stump and playing Saria's Song. After doing this, Link receives a Piece of Heart as a gift. Link can find another two Skull Kids in a different part of the Lost Woods; they start a mini-game that involves copying a series of notes which Link must repeat on his Ocarina. Succeeding results in another Piece of Heart. Their clothes look very forest like, possibly being made out of leaves and bark.

Skull Kid is also part of the Mask Trading Sequence. He says he is sad he has no face and wishes for a mask. Link can sell him the Skull Mask, but the Skull Kid will only pay 10 Rupees, making Link pay the other ten back to the Mask Salesman.

When Link is an adult, the Skull Kids attack Link by shooting darts out of his flute, as they are afraid of adults.

It is rumored that Kokiri children who get lost in the Lost Woods turn into Skull Kids.

===Pooch Lady===

She is a sassy dog enthusiast who only cares about dogs, but especially cares about her own dog Richard. Bringing Richard back at night will give Link a Piece of Heart.

===Richard===

He is the Pooch Lady's pet dog. Returning him to the Pooch Lady at night will give Link a Piece of Heart.

===Happy Mask Salesman===

He is a traveling collector and seller of strange, rare, and unusual masks. His erratic behavior, unpredictable temper, strange powers and occasional displays of hysteric outbursts are what makes him standout eerily. He is the owner of the Happy Mask Shop in Hyrule Castle Town and will lend masks to Link for him to sell. Link can sell each mask to a certain buyer, who will pay a certain amount of Rupees for it; if Link fails to return said Rupees to the Happy Mask Salesman, the Salesman will throw a fit and throw Link out of the store until Link pays him back. ===Flat===

One of the two Composer Brothers of Hyrule. Together, he and his brother, Sharp, composed many songs for the Royal Family. However, one was developed in secret: the Sun's Song. Before they could reveal it, however, they were killed by Ganondorf's minions. He appears in the game as a Poe when Link checks his grave. He bears a resemblance to Mario.

===Sharp===

One of the two Composer Brothers of Hyrule. Together, he and his brother, Flat, composed many songs for the Royal Family. However, one was developed in secret: the Sun's Song. Before they could reveal it, however, they were killed by Ganondorf's minions. He appears in the game as a Poe when Link checks his grave. He bears a resemblance to Luigi.

===King Zora===

King Zora is the ruler of Zora's Domain, and father to Princess Ruto. He is a very large Zora who wears a red vest, making him the only Zora who wears any sort of clothing. His throne is in front of the entrance to Zora Fountain, where Lord Jabu-Jabu and the Ice Cavern can be found. When you first meet him, he is seeking his lost daughter, who Link must find in order to obtain the Zora's Sapphire. Later on, he is involved in several side quests. He rewards Link with a Zora Tunic when he is thawed from the red ice he was frozen in, and he also provides the Eyeball Frog for Biggoron's Eye Drops during the Biggoron's Sword Trading Sequence when you bring him the Prescription.

===Lord Jabu-Jabu===

Lord Jabu-Jabu is a giant whale, and the guardian deity of the Zora. He resides in Zora's Fountain and acts as the scene for the third dungeon in the game after he swallows his caretaker, Princess Ruto, as a side-effect of being weakened by a parasitic infection Ganondorf cursed him with. Link must be swallowed as well to find Princess Ruto; he feeds Lord Jabu-Jabu a fish to make the deity open up his mouth. Link must defeat the parasitic Barinade in order to cure Jabu-Jabu and save Princess Ruto. After you have saved Princess Ruto, she awards you with the Spiritual Stone of Water, and mentions that it is the Zora's engagement ring.

During Link's seven year absence, Lord Jabu-Jabu disappears for an undisclosed reason, as he is no longer present when Link arrives at the frozen Zora Fountain as an adult. It is unknown what became of Lord Jabu-Jabu.

===Great Deku Tree===

The Great Deku Tree is the guardian Deity of the Kokiri Forest. He speaks in old English and acts as the setting for the first dungeon of the game. At the beginning of the game, he sends Navi the fairy to bring Link to him. When Link arrives, the Great Deku Tree explains that he has been cursed by Ganondorf for not giving up the Kokiri's Emerald. He requests Link enter the interior of the tree to remove the curse. Though Link successfully defeats Gohma and removes the curse, the Great Deku Tree is still doomed to die. Before dying, he tells Link the legend of how the Golden Goddesses created Hyrule and the Triforce, and how Ganondorf plans to use the Spiritual Stones to open the Door of Time to take the Triforce for himself. The Great Deku Tree gives Link one of the Spiritual Stones, the Kokiri's Emerald, and sends him on a quest to retrieve the other stones before Ganondorf can. He dies shortly afterwards.

===Deku Tree Sprout===

The Deku Tree Sprout is the baby form of the Great Deku Tree. He appears after Link defeats Phantom Ganon in the Forest Temple and awakens Saria as the Forest Sage. He was unable to grow before this due to Ganondorf's evil reign over Hyrule corrupting the Kokiri Forest, spawning enemies in the sacred forest. He also reveals that Link is actually a Hylian and not a Kokiri; his mother had fled from the Hyrulean Civil War, but she was gravely injured and left Link under the care of the Great Deku Tree before her death.

===Epona===

Epona is a flaxen colored horse. She is first seen at Lon Lon Ranch as a young foal and seems to be shy around anyone except for Malon. When Malon teaches Link Epona's song, a song composed by her dead mother, Epona becomes less shy and will approach Link.

After the seven year period, Link returns to Lon Lon Ranch to find it run by Ingo, who seems to have become evil. Ingo was going to give Epona as a gift to Ganondorf since she is the fastest horse at the ranch. Malon remained at the ranch to protect the animals, but Talon had been exiled. Ingo challenges Link to a horse race, but Link is able to win with Epona, who recognizes him by Epona's Song. After Link wins, Ingo tries to lock Link and Epona in the ranch, though they both escape by jumping the fence that prevents them from exiting. When Link returns to the ranch he finds everything back to normal.

Epona then becomes a quick mode for transportation and Links trusty stead, running up to Link anytime he plays Epona's Song. She proves to be an invaluable ally, particularly for jumping past obstacles along Link's journey such as the fences blocking Lake Hylia and the canyon leading to Gerudo Valley.

===Cucco Lady===

A kind lady who resides in Impa's old house in Kakariko Village. She tends to the cuccos near the Cucco pen outside, but she suffers an allergy from the cuccos, and fails to keep them properly in their pen. When Link returns all seven cuccos to the pen, She will give Link a bottle as a token of her thanks. If Link removes a cucco he returned, he will be scolded.

When Link meets her later as an adult, she describes how she bred a new type of cucco, the Pocket Cucco, that she does not suffer any allergies from. She then will give him a Pocket Egg, which will start the trading sequence for Biggoron's Sword.

===Boss of the Carpenters===

The Boss of the Carpenters is the boss of the carpenters in Kakariko Village, and is constantly complaining about the lack of commitment of his workers, besides also being considerably ashamed of his son, Grog, since he supposedly "sits around all day" doing nothing. He is also revealed to be the Cucco Lady's father, since during the trading sequence she refers to Grog as being her brother. It is implied that he has some connexion with Granny, who runs Granny's Potion Shop in Kakariko, since during the trading sequence it is shown that she is directly related with Grog somehow. Given the apparent difference of age between him and Granny (and also her being called so), it is possible that she is his mother and, therefore, Grog's grandmother. Also, it is possible that he is married with the lady who lives in the first house to the left in Kakariko, since she cooks for him and his workers and they all seem to live with her.

===Carpenters===

The five carpenters in Kakariko Village are under the management of the Boss of the Carpenters. They are supposed to be building new structures for Kakariko Village, but instead run around the village in their own route during Link's childhood. When Link is an adult, they are captured and imprisoned by the Gerudo upon trying to join them. The person who saves them is none other than our hero Link, who infiltrates the Gerudo Fortress and defeats the guards at every jail cell to release the carpenters. They then reconstruct the broken bridge that expands over the gorge in the Gerudo Valley as thanks.

===Medigoron===

A Goron weaponsmith that claims to be as good as his brother Biggoron (even though it takes him seven years to make a knife that is not nearly as good as Biggoron's Sword, which is forged by Biggoron in a couple of days). He can be found in Goron City where he has a shop and sells mighty swords. He sells Link a Giant's Knife worth 200 Rupees. His skills, are at a lower level than his brother, with his Giant's Knife breaking after 8 times or 4 times if hit at enemies.

===Biggoron===

A very large goron, the size of a mountain. He sits atop of Death Mountain, by the entrance to the crater and the Great Fairy. He is the best weaponsmith in Hyrule.

When Link meets him, his eyes are irritated and asks link if he could get him eye drops. If Link successfully completes the Trading Sequence and gives eye drops to Biggoron, he will forge him Biggoron's Sword, the most powerful blade in the game (dealing double the damage of the master sword).

A friendly Poe who guides Link through the Haunted Wasteland in Gerudo Desert.

 

===Great Fairy of Power===

 

 

 

A Great Fairy of Magic can be found in three locations to give three different spells: Din's Fire is given at the Fountain located in the Dead End near the Castle Grounds, Farore's Wind is given at Zora's Fountain, and Nayru's Love is given at Desert Colossus. It is unknown whether the three Great Fairies of Magic are the same Great Fairy teleporting between the three Fountains, or if they are three separate Great Fairies with the same title.

 

 

Bonooru is a scarecrow located at Lake Hylia who asks young Link to play an 8-note song (any 8 notes; this becomes the Scarecrow Song). When Link goes back to visit as an adult, he can play the song again for Bonooru. Bonooru will be so happy that he offers the services of his fellow scarecrow Pierre, who can be summoned at certain areas with the Scarecrow Song to allow Link access to previously inaccessible areas.

 

Dampé is the gravekeeper of the [[Kakariko Graveyard]]. During [[Link]]'s childhood, Dampé can be found patrolling the graveyard at night and will start his own [[Dampé the Gravekeeper's Heart-Pounding Gravedigging Tour|Gravedigging Tour]]  upon request for 10 Rupees, digging up anything from Rupees to a [[Piece of Heart|Heart Piece]] that Link can pick up. The items thathe digs up appear randomly. During the day, he is at his shack sleeping, and if Link tries interacts with him, he will just tell Link to "buzz off".

===Nabooru's Subordinate===

Nabooru's unnamed subordinate watches over the Gerudo Fortress in Nabooru's absence. She is impressed with Link's skills and gives Link the Gerudo Membership Card after he rescues all the carpenters within the Gerudo Fortress.

===Fabulous Five Froggish Tenors===

The Froggish Tenors are a group of five frogs that sing together in a choir, which Link can conduct with his Ocarina. The frogs are first encountered in Zora's River. If Link plays his Ocarina while standing on the tree stump these frogs will pop up. Every time Link plays one of his non-warping Ocarina songs, one of the frogs will grow in size and give Link 50 Rupees as a reward. Link can also play the "Song of Storms" for them in order to obtain a Piece of Heart.

After all five have grown and the Piece of Heart mentioned above has been obtained, Link can conduct the fully-grown frogs. Each frog represents one of the C-buttons or the A-button. When a fly appears above a frog, Link must quickly press the button representing that frog. Once this has been done without fail, completing their song, he will be given another Piece of Heart.

===Magic Bean Salesman===

A man who constantly feasts on his bag of delicious delights. He is the only seller of Magic Beans, which can be planted in soft soil during Link's childhood to grow into magic leaves and are able to carry Link to otherwise inaccessible areas as an adult. He can be found sitting beside the Zora's River during Link's childhood. Every time Link purchases a Magic Bean from him, the next Magic bean will cost an additional 10 Rupees. He will stop selling magic beans after Link has bought the last one worth under 100 Rupees. Along the way, he makes up titles to make the beans seem rare.

===Fabulously Rich Family===

The Fabulously Rich Family is a very wealthy family located in Kakariko Village that has been placed under a curse by the Gold Skulltulas due to their greed. There are six members in the family: 5 sons and their father. Each one of them has been turned into a Skulltula, but they still have some human limbs and part of their faces. Each one of the children will be transformed back to normal with each consecutive 10 Gold Skulltula tokens collected after defeating a Gold Skulltula, and will each give Link a unique reward. The father says that if Link cures their family of the curse, they will make him "very rich." After 50 Gold Skulltula tokens have been collected, the father says to not worry about him; but if Link collects all 100 tokens, the father will be returned to normal, and will give Link a Huge Rupee (yellow, worth 200) each time he visits the house.

===Granny===

An old woman who runs the Potion Shop in Kakariko Village. She is friends with the Lake Scientist in Lakeside Laboratory. She is part of a trading sequence, where she must be given the Odd Mushroom for her to create the odd potion.

===Lake Scientist===

A scientist who lives in Lakeside Laboratory located above Lake Hylia. He is a chemist who puts his knowledge to use in medicinal practice at his laboratory. He has a pool eight meters deep, and will measure how far down Link can dive. If Link dives all the way down, he will give Link a Piece of Heart. It is interesting to note that if Link sinks all the way down to the bottom with the Iron Boots, he can see that the scientist seems to keep a shark at the bottom of the pool in a cage. The Scientist also plays a role in the Biggoron's Sword side quest, as you must quickly bring him the Eyeball Frog from King Zora in order to have him produce the World's Finest Eye Drops. The scientist will be disappointed that he cannot eat the frog for dinner, but makes the drops regardless. He was once the teacher of Granny, the potion maker of Kakariko Village.

===Kaepora Gaebora===

Kaepora Gaebora is a very knowledgeable, very talkative owl that helps Link during his adventure in Ocarina of Time. He can rotate his head upside-down, causing the markings on his face to resemble another face. According to a gossip stone, he is the reincarnation of an ancient sage, and according to another he is very lighthearted, despite his size.

He first appears directly after leaving Kokiri Forest, telling Link about the map and pointing him toward Hyrule Castle. He appears numerous other times throughout the game in Link's childhood, giving Link advice and knowledge about his quest as well as directions. After young Link acquires the Silver Gauntlets, he appears to give advice for the last time. He tells Link that he has watched Link grow, and claims that he is now fully matured, and will continue to watch over him. (The cases of this are when he is seen flying over Link and Sheik after Sheik teaches Link certain warping songs.)

===Koume and Kotake===

Koume and Kotake are a pair of Gerudo twin witches with elemental powers, Koume having power over fire and Kotake having power over ice. They act as Ganondorf's surrogate mothers and are very loyal to him.

Link first encounters them as a child at the Desert Colossus when they kidnap Nabooru before Link can hand over the Silver Gauntlets. They then retreat into the interior of the Spirit Temple. Link next sees them after defeating the Iron Knuckle situated right before the boss room in the Spirit Temple as an adult. They had brainwashed Nabooru to serve Ganondorf, making her fight as the Iron Knuckle. When Nabooru tries to escape the two witches teleport her away to be brainwashed again, then they taunt Link before leading him into the boss chamber.

The two witches act as the boss for the Spirit Temple. They fly around the stage trying to hit Link with their elemental magic, and he must defeat them by reflecting one witches magic to hit the other. After a while, the two witches will transform into a single entity, Twinrova, who looks younger, is larger, and wields both elemental powers of fire and ice. Link must defeat her by using her own magic against her.

When defeated, Twinrova splits back into Koume and Kotake. Halos (for some odd reason) appear over both of their heads and the two begin bickering about their age as they float upwards into rays of light. One of them yells to Link, "I'll come back to haunt you!!" while they are floating up.

===Prancing Man in Hyrule Market===

A man who prances back and forth from one shop to the next in Hyrule Castle Town.

===Laughing Twins===

The Laughing Twins reside in Hyrule Castle Town. Upon Link's first arrival in Hyrule Castle Town, the two are talking about an attempt one of the Twins made on breaking into Hyrule Castle, effectively revealing the way to get ahead to Link. Shortly before Link's arrival, the twin dressed in blue attempted to sneak into the castle to meet Princess Zelda. He sneaked past the Royal Guard, swam through the moat, and tried to crawl through the drain hole on the side of the castle, but he could not enter it due to his size. As a result of this, the castle guards tightened security in the castle. Link later uses this knowledge to his advantage.

When Ganondorf takes over Hyrule, the Twins retreat to Kakariko Village, where they stay in different houses. Here one of the Twins claims to have seen the ghost of the grave keeper Dampé holding a strange object. The other does not believe him and states that the other Twin is still as hilarious as back in Castle Town.

===Running Man===

The Running Man is constantly running around Lon Lon Ranch in Hyrule Field during Link's childhood. He is part of the Mask Trading sequence and will purchase the Bunny Hood from Link. He says that he wants to be as fast as a rabbit. When shown the Bunny Hood, he becomes ecstatic and fills Link's wallet to purchase it, no matter how many more Rupees Link's wallet can hold. (Meaning he will pay up to 500 Rupees for that mask!) When morning breaks, the Running Man takes off so fast that it knocks Link down. He is seen running along Hyrule Field for the rest of the game, so long as Link is a child. As an adult, Link can race him from the Gerudo Valley to the Kokiri Forest, but no matter how fast Link runs the Running Man will always beat Link by one second.

===Rauru===

Rauru is the Sage of Light who resides inside the Chamber of Sages. He is the first to greet Link after Link awakens from his seven year slumber. It is implied that he may be immortal or otherwise long lived, as it is revealed that he was one of the Ancient Sages who helped construct the Temple of Time.

When Link awakens in the Chamber of Sages, Rauru explains to Link that he had been sealed away for seven years due to having been too young to bear the title Hero of Time when he pulled the Master Sword. He also explains that Ganondorf had entered the Sacred Realm and touched the Triforce, receiving the Triforce of Power as a result and taking over Hyrule. Rauru informs Link that he must awaken the five other Sages in order to defeat Ganondorf, then transports Link back to the Temple of Time to continue on his journey.

Rauru can communicate via telepathy, calling Link back to the Temple of Time after he awakened all five other sages. He later helps Link during his trek through Ganon's Castle when all the sages create the rainbow bridge up to his Castle, and he dispells the Light Barrier inside.

It is notable that Rauru was not with the other Sages on Death Mountain overlooking Hyrule at the end of the game. It is implied that he may not be able to leave the Chamber of Sages.

===Grog===

Grog is the son of the Boss of the Carpenters and brother of the Cucco Lady. He can be found sitting in front of the tree in Kakariko Village at night when Link is a child. As an adult, Link finds him in the Lost Woods when he obtains Cojiro, a blue Cucco, from the Cucco Lady as part of the trading sequence to get Biggoron's Sword. Grog was the only one that Cojiro would crow around, so when Grog sees that Link has Cojiro, he assumes that Link is a nice guy and asks him to take a mushroom to the potion hag (Granny) to make a potion for him. When Link returns, he finds that Grog is gone and Fado is in his place. She reveals that he has turned into a Stalfos, as all humans do when they get lost in the Lost Woods.

===The Poe Sisters: Amy, Beth, Joelle and Meg===

The Poe Sisters are four poe siblings that haunt the Forest Temple due to the unrelenting restlessness of their souls. They steal the flames from the torches leading to the entrance to the boss of the Forest Temple, causing the entrance to be blocked. The Poe Sisters must be put to rest and the stolen flames returned to progress through the Temple.  

Joelle is the Red Poe, Beth is the Blue Poe, Amy is the Green Poe and Meg is the Purple Poe. They can be attacked by shooting arrows into them when they are stationary or not spinning or Invisible. Joelle and Beth both hide in picture frames in stairways, and Link must shoot all the pictures with an arrow to draw them out for battle. Amy is in a picture frame that must be shot as well, but then Link must solve a block puzzle to complete her picture by pushing the blocks together to get her to come out. Meg will only show herself after her three sisters have been defeated. She fights by splitting into four separate forms of herself, in which only one is the real Meg. Link must find out which one is the real Meg and shoot her with an arrow before they all attack. (It can be determined by which Meg is spinning while circling Link.)

===Din===

Din is one of the three golden goddesses that created Hyrule, specifically the Goddess of Power and thus associated with the Triforce of Power. According to legend, when the three goddesses descended upon the "chaos that was Hyrule", Din "with her strong flaming arms, cultivated the land and created the red earth." She was the first to use her magic and is responsible for molding the terrain of Hyrule.

===Nayru===

Nayru is one of the three golden goddesses that created Hyrule, specifically the Goddess of Wisdom and thus associated with the Triforce of Wisdom. According to legend, when the three goddesses descended upon the "chaos that was Hyrule", Nayru "poured her wisdom onto the earth and gave the spirit of law to the world." She was the second to use her magic and was responsible for creating all the natural and physical laws that govern the universe.

===Farore===

Farore is one of the three golden goddesses that created Hyrule, specifically the Goddess of Courage and thus associated with the Triforce of Courage. According to legend, when the three goddesses descended upon the "chaos that was Hyrule", Farore, "with her rich soul, created all the living inhabitants in the world to uphold the law." She was the third to use her magic and was responsible for creating all life.

===Gerudo Master of Horseback Archery===

She is a Gerudo in charge of running the Horseback Archery Range at the Gerudo's Fortress. According to her introduction, she is the best archer and horseback rider in the Gerudo tribe and will allow Link to play the Archery mini-game for 20 Rupees. If Link gets over a 1,000 points, he will receive a Piece of Heart; if he obtains over 1,500, he obtains an upgraded quiver and the title "true master".

===Poe Collector===

A person who runs the Ghost Shop located just next to the broken moat of the ruins of what was once Hyrule Castle Town. He takes delight in the maliciousness of the Big Poes in Hyrule Field, and will give Link Rupees for each Big Poe he gives the Poe Collector. If all 10 Big Poes are retrieved, the Poe Collector will give Link a Bottle. There is a theory that he is the Hyrulean soldier who stood in his place 7 years ago. This theory is backed up by a quote from the soldier, '''"Man, I am so tired! I wish some ghosts would come out or something...Hey, I'm really interested in ghosts! Studying them is a hobby of mine, but you never know...the time might come when that kind of knowledge might be useful!"'''

===Guru Guru===

The Windmill Man spends the entire game inside Kakariko Village's windmill playing his grinder organ. The man seems to have quite the temper problem and is involved in what fans dub the "Song of Storms Paradox". When Link visits him as a child, the Windmill Man is cheerfully trying to write a song inspired by the motion of the windmill. When Link visits him as an adult, the Windmill Man is considerably aggravated and complains that a child with an ocarina "messed up the windmill" seven years prior. When Link shows him his Ocarina, the Windmill Man becomes even more agitated, having been reminded of the song, and plays the Song of Storms angrily, effectively teaching Link the song. Should Link visit the Windmill Man again as a child and play the Song of Storms, the windmill will speed up considerably and drain the Well. The increased speed of the windmill disrupts the Windmill Man's music tempo, causing him to become extremely confused, leading to his anger issues in the future.

===Honey and Darling===

Honey and Darling can be found in Hyrule Castle Town when Link is a child, where they are complimenting each other during the day and telling Link to go away at night. When Link is an adult, he finds them dancing on the hill behind the Windmill; where they treat Link more callously than before. Honey and Darling seem to be so caught up in the admiration of each other that they radiate a rude, dismissing attitude towards others.

===Hot Rodder Goron===

A Goron who rolls on about in Goron City within Death Mountain. He rolls very quickly and cannot be talked to or stopped easily. When Link throws a bomb at him, he will stop and give Link a bomb bag upgrade. After that, he continues on rolling around.

===Keaton Mask Soldier===

He is a soldier who gives access to Link to Death Mountain after Link gives him Zelda's Letter. However, he will not let Link pass unless he has a Hylian Shield. After Link has obtained a Shield, the guard will let him pass while making fun of him. He also is part of the Mask side quest in the game; Link can sell him the Keaton Mask.

===Old Man Dressed in Blue===

And old and wise man knowledgeable on many topics. During Link's childhood this old man can be found in Hyrule Castle Town, where he will give Link information about the Sheikah race. During Link's adulthood, the old man can be found wandering Kakariko Village during the daytime and inside the generous woman's house at night. During the day, he will talk about the man who could "see the truth", and at night, he will talk about the Fabulously Rich Family.

===Man from the Bazaar===

He is a large, bearded man who owns and operates the Bazaar. When Link is a child, the man can be found in his shop in Hyrule Castle Town. Following Ganondorf's attack on Hyrule Castle, however, he flees to Kakariko Village and makes the Boy in the Graveyard's vacant house atop the hill near the Death Mountain Trail the new Bazaar.

===Man on the Roof in Kakariko Village===

He is a Hylian man who somehow managed to get onto the roof of Granny's Potion Shop and is unable to get back down. Going to the roof and meeting him there will give Link a Piece of Heart.

===Mini-game Operator in the Bombchu Bowling Alley===

A woman who works in the Bombchu Bowling Alley in Hyrule Castle Town. She does not reveal the prize before Link has paid for a game of ten Bombchus. She is dressed in shockingly pink clothing, has purple hair, and has a tendency to fall asleep when not serving customers.

===Fisherman===

The owner of the Fishing Pond in Lake Hylia. He is constantly scratching himself. He hosts the Fishing Mini-game where Link can win a Piece of Heart or a Golden Scale by breaking fish size records. If Link hooks the Fisherman's hat and removes it in his adulthood, he will find that the Fisherman has gone bald unlike when Link first met him in the past, when he had a full head of luscious hair.

===Soldier in the Back Alley===

There is a lone Hylian soldier who appears only once in the game, right before Link enters the Temple of Time with all three spiritual stones. He is found at the Back Alley in Hyrule Castle Town. He will inform Link of Ganondorf's betrayal and Princess Zelda's escape. He is particularly notable due to the fact that after he tells Link the little information he has, he simply takes his last breath and dies. Nothing else is known about him, and he makes no other appearances. If you attempt to talk to him for a second time, the only message that will appear says "He's not moving anymore..."

===Man Who Could See the Truth===

A character mentioned but never seen. He once resided in Kakariko Village. Legend has it that the man had an eye that could see the truth, and invented the item the Lens of Truth. The Well of Three Features is situated where his house once stood, which also seals the evil spirit Bongo-Bongo.

===King of Hyrule===

A character who is never seen in-game but is mentioned a few times during Link's adventure. He is the father of Princess Zelda and is the sworn brother of the Goron Patriarch, Darunia. Just outside the entrance to Zora's Domain, there is a platform that says when the King slumbers, so too does the Sleepless Waterfall. This indicates that the King of Hyrule is alive during Link's adulthood.
