Soldier's Shields have a base Shield Guard of 16 and base durability of 16. They are commonplace in and around the [[Necluda]] region of [[Hyrule]], often in the hands of [[Bokoblin]]s or in [[Treasure Chest]]s. Mainly wooden in design with a blue paint-job, they will catch fire if exposed to flame.

Knight's Shields have a base Shield Guard of 40 and base durability of 23. They are occasionally found in the hands of [[Black Lizalfos]] or [[Moblin]]s in the outermost regions of [[Hyrule]]. With a fully metal construction, they will attract lightning, so [[Link]] should be wary of the forecast when holding these shields.

One of these shields must be equipped at all times whilst attempting the [[Test of Wood]] Shrine Quest, or [[Link]] will be disqualified and required to start again.

Kite Shields have a base Shield Guard of 14 and base durability of 16. One of the rarest shield types, they can only be found in three places; two [[Treasure Chest]]s - one in North Tabantha Snowfield & one in an ice block near a Hebra Plunge waterfall - and one at [[Selmie's Spot]], which can be won by beating Selmie's Shield Surfing Advanced Course in a time between 2:05 and 2:20. As wooden shields, they will burn if exposed to fire.

Gerudo Shields have a base Shield Guard of 20 and base durability of 20. They can be found all over the [[Gerudo Desert (Breath of the Wild)|Gerudo Desert]], for example in [[Shrine of Trials]]. The standard-issue shield for [[Gerudo (Breath of the Wild)|Gerudo]] soldiers based in the [[Gerudo Town]] - where many can be seen carrying them - their appearance is rather regal, featuring a large red gem in the center of the golden shield.

Outside of the Great Plateau, Spiked Boko Sheilds can be seen wielded by Blue Bokoblin on the pathway that leads through the [[Dueling Peaks]]. Occasionally, the Spiked Boko Shield can be found wielded by a [[Stalkoblin]], [[Black Bokoblin]], or a [[Lizalfos]].  

Dragonbone Boko Shields have a base Shield Guard of 25 and base durability of 8. They are primarily worn by [[Black Bokoblin]]s in the outer regions of [[Hyrule]], such as [[Tabantha]] and [[Ridgeland]]. While the strength is a significant improvement over the weaker Boko Shields, the low base durability still making them some of the most fragile shields in the game.

Lizal Shields have a base Shield Guard of 15 and base durability of 8. They are typically found in the hands of Green [[Lizalfos]] in the [[Faron (Breath of the Wild)|Faron]] region of [[Hyrule]]. They feature a fully metal construction; meaning lightning will be attracted to the shield, so [[Link]] should stay alert in a thunderstorm and unequip them if necessary.

They feature a fully metal construction; meaning lightning will be attracted to the shield, so [[Link]] should stay alert in a thunderstorm and unequip them if necessary.

Guardian Shields have a base Shield Guard of 18 and base durability of 10. They can be obtained by defeating weaker Guardian Scouts in [[Shrine of Trials]] or [[Divine Beast]]s. When [[Link]] is carrying these shields, only the centerpiece shows; the blue parts only show up once held in the hand.
