Getting into the Tower
Eagle's Tower is the seventh Dungeon in Link's Awakening. It is the location of the Organ of Evening Calm.
Originally hidden, in order to gain access to the dungeon Link must retrieve the Bird Key and place it into the rock-shaped keyhole next to the tower. To gain the key though, Link must proceed to Mabe Village and move the Cucco Statue with the L-2 Power Bracelet. This will reveal a hidden staircase which leads him to the grave of the Flying Rooster, a blue cucco that has the power of flight. After reviving him with the Frog's Song of Soul, it will then follow Link around. By lifting the cucco in the air Link can fly around the screen, which also helps him fly across the pit that has the bird key hidden in one of the caves of the Tal Tal Mountain range. After inserting the key into the keyhole, the tower will spin around, revealing the entrance to the dungeon.

Overview
Consisting mostly of green flooring and grey walls, the tower has many puzzles revolving around going up and down its multiple floors through various pits and staircases. The main puzzle of the dungeon deals around Link having to toss a heavy, iron ball into various stone pillars on the second floor. After hitting all the stone pillars, the top floor of the tower will collapse into the third floor of the dungeon. In addition, Link must also work with the orange tiles in order to work his way around the dungeon.
The dungeon itself consists of 4 floors, each floor progressively getting smaller as Link rises in the tower. Upon entering the dungeon, most of the upper floors aren't accessible, due to the floor being raised too high to enter. To combat this, Link must locate a steel or iron ball that he must throw at four pillars in the surrounding area. The pillars are holding up the higher floors, and upon breaking them, a cut scene plays showing the tower lowering, giving Link access to the upper floors. The boss of the dungeon is the Evil Eagle, and the mini-boss of the dungeon is the Grim Creeper. The main item of the dungeon is the Mirror Shield, and, while not used in that dungeon, it is necessary to enter the final dungeon, Turtle Rock.

The main item, the Mirror Shield, is found on the second floor originally blocked by the orange blocks that can only be lowered by switches littered around the dungeon. After collapsing the top floor, the player will then face the miniboss, Grim Creeper, on the third floor. After defeating him, he will run away then becoming the boss of the dungeon with his mount Evil Eagle. Taking place on the top of the tower in a side-view format, where the boss takes to the skys and Link must slash at the boss with his sword and then using the mirror shield to prevent falling off the tower, which will result in the battle starting over again, with the boss at full health.
Enemies and Traps
This dungeon is one of the few dungeons that house an optional Secret Seashell. In addition, Link will also face a Hinox in one of the rooms of the tower.
