The Black Knights appears fairly late in Dark Hyrule Castle and battles similar to the [[Red Darknut]] previously encountered. The Black knight hits hard, dealing 3x the amount of damage as the more traditional [[Silver Darknut]]. Its charged jab attack will deal 3-full hearts of damage, making it one of the most powerful attacks in the game. The enemy also moves quickly and has a faster recovery time after being hit. | |||
The best strategy is to use [[Roc's Cape]] to make a short jump right over the Black Knight's sword and immediately strike. Link wants to just jump with the cape instead of gliding. The Black Knight will take seven slashes, even with the powerful [[Four Sword]] to be defeated. Once the first Black Knight is defeated a [[Blue Portal]] will appear to warp to the dungeon entrance.
