Enemy: Aeralfos<br>

Description: An aeralfos is an airborne enemy that you first battle as a Mini Boss. Later in the game you'll encounter them in hyrule castle. They can't be found anywhere in the overworld as far as I know. If you really want to fight them again you can only go to one of the lowest floors of the cave of ordeals. There you'll find three of them.

It attacks you by diving from the air and slashing at you with a short sword. You can tell when it gathers itself for attack, as its wing speed increases and the wind picks up. When this happens, aim the clawshot at the emblem on its shield, pulling it toward you. While it is stunned, strike it with your sword. Eventually he will try to get up and fly away again. When he does that, you need to grab him with the clawshot once again.
Aeralfos are enemies from Twilight Princess and Tri Force Heroes. They are part of the same family as the Lizalfos and Dynalfos except they can fly.

You can also try to keep him on the ground. To do that, it's best to use normal sword slashes. When you notice he is trying to fly away, you need to use one of your hidden skills. All of them will stun them, but the helm splitter will keep him on the ground more easily than the other skills. It also does quite much damage. This last technique is a bit hard to pull of, especially when they're with more than one aeralfos.
Twilight Princess
Aeralfos first appear as the mini-boss of the City in the Sky, and later as a regular enemy in the Cave of Ordeals and Hyrule Castle.

Strategy
Look closely at the Aeralfos and its shield is actually a Clawshot target. Once it is ready to attack, it will hold its sword back and shield forward. Link can then use the Clawshot and pull the Aeralfos closer. Strike at it with several sword slashes and it'll regain its footing. After a short while, it'll return to the air.

After this, the Aeralfos will fly around and leave through one of the windows in the room. This phase is nearly identical to the first phase, except the Aeralfos will fly in and out through the four windows in the room. It also floats a bit higher, which means Link cannot always Z-target it, so the Clawshot needs to be aimed a bit higher if it is too high.

Reward
Defeating the first Aeralfos allows Link to obtain a second addition to his original Clawshot; making them the Double Clawshots.
