:Forgot to respond to this question. The original goal was to not duplicate information, so essentially regions link landmarks in or near the region. (See the wiki page for the map for the breakdown of regions vs landmarks, etc.) Landmarks have standards, but regions didn't, really, so you're welcome to come up with something.
