Its that time of year again (for some of us). Its time to get back to our studies at school. I know you are all probably thinking "Thanks Motley for reminding me!" (sarcasm). :)

I was just curious, what you see as the pro's and con's of going back to school?

I've still got another month to go, but...

Pros
It's senior year so all of the classes I'm taking are ones that I've chosen and that interest me.
Weekends will be much more meaningful.
I'll see the people I'm unable to see during the summer.

Cons
College applications.
College applications.
College applications.

Here I am answering my own thread, (my first thread).

Pro's:

I actually don't mind school anymore, I see it as something that just needs to be done.

Not much follows as I really cant think of anything rite now.
I am kinda ready to start my computer maintenace classes. :)
I guess I am looking forward to being with my friends.

Con's:

I don't have much to complain about except two things.

I find some people my age to be annoying, I can get along with alot of people but some just disgust me.
School lunch food is not good :( not at all....... But the food on the al-a-carte is not bad just expensive.

I start school in 3 days, im a Junior would be my Senior year but turns out when you don't do homework in 7th grade you will still be doing 7th grade homework the next year. :(
Weekends will defenatly be something to look forward to!

As for college apps since I am a Junior I don't havet to worry yet. My Comp Maintence class is at a college however, It is a two year class that is worth 36 credit hours (I think.) which will take care of my freshman year in college. :)

I'm not excited to be honest...but some of the pros for me are:

#1. Learning-Sometimes I find some of the subjects in certain classes to be interesting.

#2. and meeting other people even though I'm a very shy person.

Cons
1. EXAMS, EXAMS, EXAMS!!! I hate them so much!
2. nerves- I don't know why but I usually get a little nervous once I have to go back to school.

-Yey~ New people to meet and possibly new friends to make!
-FURTHERING MY EDUCATIONAAFLKJD;GH;JSDHGJ
-Getting closer to my degree so that I can become an art teacher already~

Cons:

- ESSAYS ESSAYS ESSAYS ESSAYS

I think that's about it.

Don't forget about scholarship applications too!
As a junior and senior I must've applied for over 50 (no hyperbole). After 10 or so applications, you can start to reuse essays and stuff. I highly recommend it: It paid for my first two years of college!

pros
-I'll be back in Austin, TX where there's more stuff going on. (parties, shows, friends, etc.)
-I get to work on design and learn stuff.
-I'm moving in with my girlfriend.
-I get some separation from my parents and spoiled sister.

cons
-Lotsa work = less time
-Basically just not having as much time for video games and ZD :(
I don't mind my homework, because I really do love the subject matter, but I'm missing out on tv shows and hours to spend on teh interwebz.

Cons:
- HOMEWORKHOMEWORKHOMEWORKHOMEWORK
- ESSAYS ESSAYS ESSAYS ESSAYS

I hate essays. They're just so annoying and time-consuming. I had to spend 6-7 hours to made a 5000-word essay, not counting the time for editing and writing it down from the computer screen to some papers. I could do many things else if I didn't have to spend my time on that. And, there are like, tons of essays a year. >.<

Pros:
- I have something to spend my time on.
- Some of the lessons might be interesting...

Cons:
- Tests, more tests, mid-term exams, tests, even more tests, final exams.
- High school application. Which means, I'll have to spend 2/3 of my next summer studying like crazy (if I want to get in a good high school).
- Homework. Headaches. More homework. More headaches.
- Must wake up early at 5:30 AM (my classes starts at 6:30). Sleepyyyy.
- My homeroom teacher is very likely a Literature teacher.

I am actually counting down the days until I start. Just 30 more! Of course when it starts I'll wish it were summer again. That's the way it always is.

Pros:
Seeing my friends
Hopefully having some interesting courses

Cons:
Schoolwork
Trying to make plans for when I finish school

That second con will be the death of me. I have no real plans other than save up money and go to Europe. :P

I'm actually starting school this morning, so it is coincidental that I see this an hour and a half before I have to leave. I always get up at 5:00 AM during school specifically so that way I can attend ZD's forums. :P

~Pros~
Back to school where I can visit my friends (I have only hung out with friends outside of school in 2009 and 2003 and lower)
I get to do band again. ^^
I have a few classes picked out that should be interesting.

\Cons/
Schoolwork/Homework
I have only two years left of grade school, and I'm not 100% sure what I am to do with my life.

I'm going back to school on the 30th (I know, I only have a few weeks left of summer)

Pros:

I get to see some of my friends again
Art class
After school activities

Cons:

Homework
Homework
Packing lunch, instead of buying (So no hot lunches:()
Homework
More homework
Angry parents for not doing homework
Even more homework

More cons that pros, so it's safe to say, I hate school.

Pros

I teach, and I get to hang out with my colleagues again, whom I enjoy working with. I also love my students and look forward to seeing them again. I've worked summer school so it's not like I've been away from all of them this summer, but it feels most normal during the regular school year.

Cons

I want to take a couple of classes to make myself a better teacher, but I have no time to do so this semester. :( I'm hoping it will happen next semester; it's always going to be something I have to make time for rather than having the perfect opportunity plop into my lap. But I am genuinely too busy this semester - if my other project finishes up by December (*crosses fingers*) I'll have a better chance.
