I thought for awhile before removing the objective thing but my final conclusion was that climbing the hill is not an "objective" of the quest. It's not marked off as complete just to climb the hill. While a map link to the location could be used to indicate the point of interest, calling it an 'objective' is not consistent with how that type of pin is used everywhere else.
