+They can be found crawling on top of tree branches. These tiny enemies are very hard to defeat because of their small stature. Even when they are on a level ground, kneeling and swinging your sword will not do the trick since they are too short. Instead, you'll have to ensure that they are on a higher ground and then swing your sword. In some cases this is impossible so they just need to be avoided. It is best to defeat them in the distance when at all possible by using your sword beam attack. If you must, bombs are also an effective way of defeat snails. Due to the lack of recovery time, a simple snail can take away several heart pieces almost instantaneously if they get too close to you.
