[[Link]] must cross the Holodrum Plain, but can't due to lack of jumping ability. The kangaroo names [[Ricky]] is needed in order to navigate the cliffs and holes. A while later in the game, Link will achieve the ability to swim and will obtain the five [[Essences of Nature]]. He can then receive the Round Jewel from the [[Old Man]] in a cave on the east side of the Holodrum Plain.
