Speak to Penn at the Riverside Stable to begin the Gourmets Gone Missing quest. Penn mentions that some people were expected to arrive at the stable, but they have yet to do so. The chef of the Riverside Stable, Gotter, was going to meet with them to learn a new recipe. Specifically one that Princess Zelda had taught them. Gotter has been waiting for the guests to arrive, just starting out in the distance.{{Ref|Tears of the Kingdom|I've been hearing some chirps and warbles from my little birds. They say some regular guests of this stable are late to arrive—very late. The chef here, Gotter, was going to meet with them to learn a new recipe, one that Princess Zelda taught them. Hmm, my keen reporter instincts say something is wrong here... Gotter has been over there waiting for the guests to arrive. He's barely moved this whole time. Let's see... It's not unusual for guests to decide not to show up, right? But what if they're unable to? They were coming to share a recipe from Princess Zelda too. Hmm, that could be part of this. ===The Blocked Well===
The Blocked Well
Speak to Penn at the Gerudo Canyon Well to begin The Blocked Well quest. Penn mentions that the stable is void of any visitors and the place had to shut down. Partially because the fluctuating temperatures, but also because Princess Zelda had come and closed off the Gerudo Canyon Well, banning anybody from using the well. The well was esential for the stable and its visitors as it provided water, as well as a steady supply of mushrooms that grew within the well. Penn wants to go down and investigate himself, but his wings are too big and he can't fit down the well.
After Link goes down the well, he can break the Red Sediment to find a cave filled with enemies. After clearing all the Lizalfos and the Like Like, Penn will call back up from the surface.Tears of the Kingdom Link will appear back outside and Penn will ask what he found.Tears of the Kingdom After Link explains that the well was filled with monsters, Penn jumps to the conclusion that Princess Zelda must have purposely barricaded the well to seal away those creatures and protect the people of the stable. He thinks perhaps it was a temporary measure, but she then disappeared. Penn doesn't seem too happy that he had to speculate a little bit, but he now has the story. He'll award Link for chasing the story and will then set off.
