After Link has collected all the other masks in the game and reaches each of the [[Lunar Children]] on the [[Moon]], they will offer to take some of Link's masks in return for a large reward in the end. Once 20 masks have been given to the Lunar Children, a child wearing [[Majora's Mask]] will give Link the Fierce Deity's Mask. At this time, it will be one of the only masks remaining in the player's inventory. After defeating [[Majora]] and saving at the end of the game, the mask will become a permanent addition to the inventory, and all previously traded masks will once again be at Link's disposal.
