The '''Temple of Light''' became the resting place of the [[Triforce]] after the [[Era of Chaos]].  Unlike the other elemental temples, it does not lie within the vicinity of [[Hyrule]], but rather in the [[Sacred Realm]]. It can be accessed by pulling the [[Master Sword]] from its [[Pedestal of Time|pedestal]] in the [[Temple of Time]]. The only area within the Temple of Light visited is the Chamber of the Sages and is non-playable, unlike other elemental areas.

[[Rauru (Ocarina of Time)|Rauru]] explains that while the Sacred Realm was not spared from becoming the [[Dark World]], he used his powers to keep the Temple of Light and the Chamber of Sages within it intact.{{Ref|name=quote1855|OoT|1855|[[Rauru (Ocarina of Time)|Rauru]]}}{{Ref|name=quote1859|OoT|1859|[[Rauru (Ocarina of Time)|Rauru]]}} [[Link (Ocarina of Time)|Link]] subsequently accesses the Temple of Light each time he rescues one of the [[Seven Sages]] from one of [[Ganon#Ocarina of Time|Ganondorf]]'s dungeon lairs. The Chamber of the Sages is the location where [[Link (Ocarina of Time)|Link]]'s body slept for seven years after he took the [[Master Sword]] out of the [[Pedestal of Time]].{{Ref|name=quote1855}}{{Ref|name=quote1859}} After Link completes each of the first five Adult Temples in the game, he is transported here so that the [[Sage]] can give him a Medallion that represents their power.
