This can be difficult early in the game, but gets easier later on as more methods become available. Here's a few methods: (1) Stand next to the ice with a lit torch or wooden weapon that's on fire, or a fire elemental weapon. Slow, but cheap. (2) Shoot it with fire arrows, which is faster, but will take multiple arrows. (3) (Last Ditch Method) Drop flint and wood together, and hit them with a metal weapon to create a fire. You can either wait for the fire to super slowly melt the ice, or use the fire to ignite wooden weapons and use those. Once the ice is completely melted, fairy lights will appear to interact with.Seed012left

Tears of the Kingdom
The Gerudo Canyon Pass is the beginning of a long windy road that leads through the Gerudo Canyon towards the Gerudo Desert.

Naia is a Gerudo guard present at the pass and she will not allow any travelers to get by unless they take a quiz. The area beyond the pass is affected by wide temperatures where it is excessively warm during the daytime and very cold at nighttime. The guard will only allow Link to pass if he's well versed with how to handle the temperatures.

At the pass, there is a giant ruin that has fallen from the sky. Link can climb up the north side to find a treasure chest is tucked away inside. Link can reach this chest from the area below, by using Ascend. The distance is a bit too far to ascend to, but Link can use the Hyrule Restoration Materials that are just outside to build a platform a couple stories high that he can then ascend through. The chest here contains three Steering Sticks.

Just south of the pass, along the trail, Addison can be found holding a Hudson Sign. Link can use the nearby restoration materials to hold up the sign. Addison will reward Link with a Red Rupee, some Chilly Veggie Rice Balls, and a Puffshroom.

Disaster in Gerudo Canyon
Disaster in Gerudo Canyon
Nenea and Quince can be found at the pass where they have set up camp. Three of their friends are lost in the Gerudo Canyon and the pass is where they agreed to meet up if they got separated. Speaking with the two will begin the Disaster in Gerudo Canyon quest where Link must find and help out the three friends of Nenea and Quince.
