Hmm...This is a very deep question. Some know right off the bat what it would be, some will never have any idea, some need a second to think but then figure it out. To some it's a lullaby that comforts them. To some, it's an epic battle song that reflects on the inevitable end. To some, it inspires hope yet sadness. Some chose a plain creepy, but fitting song.
But some...perhaps those who have yet to see enough of the world, some who have seen too much, and some who put more faith in their own hand than any others in the end...write their own song for the end of it all.
I am among them. Tune? I can'texactly post sheet music and expect you all to decipher it. Lyrics? I can do that, but I'll keep it to the chorus.
As we all stand together, we finally embrace
That some of us were meant to be parted
As we join in a melody, facing our fears
Some may flee but the hope stays within us
It's the way of the human to never give up
How else could we have made it to today?
And I rise by your side, like an angel we fly
Though our bodies collapse far beneath us
I will live on [Like the starfire that flows through my veins
[I still pray for teh change of the seasons
[It's th way of the living to watch 'til the end
[As my people they still stay among us
I live on
In the hearts of survivors [Though the fires grow near
Although i will not be among them [You could go to the depths of the haven
As the twilight grows near [Yet I finally know
We are facing our fears [What is yet to be shown
But the hope of the earth stays among us [To the people that go, we're among them
It's not much, I know, but this is pretty spontaneous. I'll build on it more later. One day, I'll write a song that perfectly embodies the apocalypse, and those few who stand before it laughing, those few who see. But if the world were to end right now, I'd sing this.
Because EVERYBODY took EVERYTHING good. Except maybe Manic Star or the Chillout Remix of Center of the Sun... but my comment's long enough already. This is a really good question.
