I've been trying all day to get somebody to take my spot at work, but I unfortunately have to go or I lose my job

It sucks because tonight is my highschool prom. I had a date and everything, but I really don't want to lose my job. I could always go next year, but I was excited for it. I missed it last year, and was hoping to go this year. Oh well. Nothing is going to stop me from going to prom in my senior year! Next year I'd even be willing to quit my job to go!
