which former Zelda game would you like Skyward Sword to be like. The kid friendly cartoony Wind Waker. Or the more mature Twilight Princess.

I'd want it to be a combination also. The graphics suggest that the styles are combined. I just don't want an annoying (in my opinion) mode of transportation. I could walk around a field all day. So I'd want a combination of both TP and WW. Maybe a lil ALttP ;)

Neither, because Skyward Sword is its OWN style...Even though it looks like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess combined, the game has its own unique style that resembles that of an Impressionist painting in which Aounuma and Miyamoto were going for as the game is a tribute to Cezane which I think Aonuma stated

Really, I want it to be new and progressive for Zelda, but if I had to pick, I guess TP. Wind Waker is, in my opinion, the Zelda game with the best graphics (at the moment), but TP, I loved that game more than any other game. Probably my favorite Zelda game, or any game, period. It only makes sense that it'll be more like TP, what with the motion controls and all. But the controls are probably going to be more complex than TP.

I actually thought if it as the perfect middle ground between them. Clearly Nintendo like cell shading as it allows for more character movement and reactions, but fans reacted negatively to Wind Waker's style. Nintendo tried a more grittly realistic game with TP but fans complained that it was too dark. So it looks like they are attempting Wind Waker's cell shading but with Twilight Princess's realistic character designs. They kept the setting "sunny" while leaving out the over exaggerated cartoony looking characters. Also keeping the realistic looking people and costumes with greater detail but did not push things to the level of grimdark Baulder's Gate styled fantasy.

However the bokoblins do seem to be a little more on the cartoony side and less like the typical fantasy goblins they resembled in TP. So there might be a few characters or enemies that could appear more exaggerated but they have not been seen yet in the few screenshots and videos released so far.

I would have to say SS is closer to WW but the art director decided to severely tone down the wacky looking characters some. This is just based on what I have seen so far, but that could change when more pics are released by Nintendo.

Of course, it should first of all be it's own unique game. That is more important than being like another game.
But if I'd have to choose, I'd say definitely WW. That game had such a great atmosphere, music, world and music, I'd definitely choose WW.
Best would be if they just look back at WW and put some of that great freshness and feel in SS, but in it's own way.

I agree with Djinn. It seems like a middle ground between WW and TP. Although, I would prefer it to be a little closer to the more mature TP. SS does have its own style; a watercolor painting like style, and I think that's just awesome. I don't see why it would have to shift toward WW or TP.

Like Djinn said, it looks like a combination. But, I like the more serious atmosphere in Twilight Princess, so I hope that Skyward Sword has the same feel to it.

i reckon 25% twilight priincess, 25% windwaker and 50% skyward sword. i like the idea of it beig a mix of two gamee styles but in other areas i want it to be unique in its own style

I do not believe it will have resemblence to either other than through graphics. As for my desire for them to be like? Neither. I'd want it to be like ALttP. Why? It was it's own kind of Zelda game, with it's own interesting set of weapons. It was a bold game overall, and you built attachments to the people. Whether it was the poor boy stuck in the dark world, or his father who was scared for his boy wondering where he had gone. If there was even one more game like that I would be happy.

I don't think that SS should have the graphic style of either games, because the graphic style, along with the gameplay; characters and enemies, have been tailor-made just for this game and just the WW style would make the character models not look right and TP would make quite "happy" graphics seem too dark and moody.

I think SS is going to be more of a combination of SS and OoT. From what we have seen, the game looks to have similar graphics to Twilight Princess but it also looks lighter and kind of more similar to OoT. I don't really like the Toon Link games as much as the others, and I think SS looks really awesome and realistic. However, I would also perhaps like to see a new Zelda game for the Wii where Link is in toon form. But I think SS is going to be like TP but lighter.

I want it to be like Skyward Sword. ;) Enough with the copycats. But that's just my opinion. :P

I want it to have humour and deepness at the same time. :D
