Help: 3D Art Computer Program

Hey guys, I do a lot of drawing, mostly of humans, animal and other creatures. I was wondering if there is any type of Program for the computer were you can setup a scale model of a human and change the positions of the body so that it can be in different poses. Also the ability to change camera positions would be good.

I don't know if this is completely crazy or if it even exists. Please post if you have any ideas.

I personally recommend 3DS Max but that's just me (you can get a 3 year license free as a student). Maya is its alternative. Blender is free but I don't know much about it though. I think this is what you are looking for

Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite, available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License.

Blender is still free to download, use, and distribute, nothing has changed about that.
