I agree, They took the time during the opening of the game to indicate that "Links crimson loftwing is special yada-yada" but they don't really touch upon that again in the game, it's obviously something due to Link being Hylia's chosen knight but they just leave it alone after talking about it...

I got really excited when fighting koloktos, it was really cool to use koloktos's weapons against him, reminded me of WW ^^ Ghirahim 2nd time around made me nervous, the last time you fight him I wasn't as worried as I had a few fairies and red pots on me.

I haven't 100% it yet but I'm really close :) So far it's been more repetitive than actually difficult.
