I really appreciate that you have told me this. I was indeed looking at it as a debate myself, so thank you for providing that clarification on the MD. And true, a reply doesn't have to be five paragraphs long, but if I make a reply at all, I feel like it shouldn't neglect anything that I wish to comment on, and that usually leads me to writing an extended response whether I intend to or not. I could try to cut it, but usually if I leave something unaddressed, that tends to leave an opening for someone else to point out what they may think is a mistake, when it is likely just something I skipped over mentioning in order to avoid having to elaborate on the point in detail. This is why when I post a reply, I feel the need to make sure every end of it is covered so that the meaning is unmistakable. Unforunately, it does take a lot of time and energy as you have said to do this.
And truthfully, I actually was getting vibes of disapproval more primarily from some of the posts before yours. I rather did get the sense from your post that your disapproval of Gaga was not linked to any opinion on the thread itself. ^^ I am a person who reads a lot of tone in the way people write though, so sometimes I may pick up a tone in a post that was not meant to be there. It's possible I might have been misreading some of the tones meant in the replies.
Also, I find it funny that you refer to yourself as close-minded, because usually the people who are able to call themselves that are in fact, not at all as they may think ^^ Actually I quite get the sense that you are fairly tolerant of other people's opinions, and I think your ability to accept other people having varying opinions from yours actually makes you rather open-minded on the contrary.
