Several years after the events in Termina, the Demon thief Ganondorf was sent to the [[Arbiter's Grounds]], where he was imprisoned by the [[Ancient Sages]]. This was because of the Hero of Time's knowledge of future events. On the day of his execution, Ganondorf was chained and brought to the Mirror Chamber. The Sage of Water then readied the Sword of Light and impaled the evil demon. However, due to what one of the sages called a "divine prank",{{Ref|TP|1715|[[Ancient Sages]]}} the symbol of the Triforce of Power appeared on Ganondorf's hand, giving him a renewed strength and therefore preventing his death.
