The hero had stayed in the Kingdom, in hope to restore Hyrule to its former glory. One day a strange mark appeared on Link's hand. Link, who was now sixteen passed down this information to Impa, who in shock took him to the North Castle. They find a mysterious chamber that is yet to be opened, the hero presses the crest against the door, thus opening the chamber. Here Impa and Link find Princess Zelda I, who is in an eternal sleep due to the previous King's actions.
