This goddess statue is looking over the people of Skyloft, as it was built in honor of Skyloft's Goddess. Link recieves his Sword, the [[Goddess blade]], from inside this statue through an opening at the bottom.

The towns people are totally unaware of the lands below the clouds. They also have their anual "wing ceremony", in which they use Loftwings, a bird race, to do various competitions.
