==Palace of the Four Sword==
In the GBA version of ''A Link to the Past'', the Helmasaur King makes an appearance in the additional game, ''Four Swords''.  There are several differences between the ''A Link to the Past'' bout in the Dark Palace and this second encounter with the now green beast.  A similar strategy is pursued to destroy its mask but after this point, the Helmasaur King produces blue Helmasaurs rather than emits fireballs from its mouth.  Once its gem is sufficiently damaged, a second mask will appear and the process is repeated.  After this is done, a third eye will appear on the Helmasaur's King's forehead.  A [[Silver Arrow]] will terminate the beast once and for all.

==A Link Between Worlds==
The Helmasaur King makes a return in the Dark Palace as the main boss. When entering the boss room, the player has to light two torches in a dark room. Then, Helmasaur King will fall from the celling and the fight will start. The strategy to fight him is slightly different this time, though.
The first face is standard, using bombs or the Megaton Hammer will destroy it's mask.
After receiving quite enough damage after it's mask was already destroyed,the beast would proceed to howl which turns off the torches, and then proceed to ram through the room. The player has to turn the lights on to make it stop and then proceed to attack with the sword. After repeating this process a few times, the Helmasaur King will be defeated.
