Information is added to the compendium by taking pictures with the Sheikah Slate Camera of various items once the Camera (Rune) has been unlocked. Most pictures can also be bought in Hateno Ancient Tech Lab for 100 Rupees each after the Sunshroom Sensing quest has been completed. Once added to the compendium, any item can be set to the Sheikah Sensor+, allowing Link to track its location.

Please note that then numbering on this list includes the four entries added in the second DLC pack, The Champions' Ballad. Your numbering may vary, depending on the version, or if you are playing in Master Mode.
