The All-Night Mask is a mask acquired usually after the Great Bay Temple, but it could be bought before then. It was originally a method of torture, that would not allow the victim to sleep.
The All-Night Mask is one of the 24 masks found in Majora's Mask. According to a Gossip Stone found in the Cucco Shack, the All-Night Mask is a torture device,MM as it prevents the wearer from falling asleep.MM

Acquiring the Mask
The All-Night Mask can be purchased at the Curiosity Shop for 500 Rupees. It is only available on the Final Night; however, it will only be available for purchase if Link protected the Old Lady from the bomb shop on the First Night from Sakon during the same three-day cycle. If he hasn't, a Bomb Bag will be on sale instead of the All-Night Mask. Furthermore, since it costs 500 Rupees, Link must have acquired the Giant Wallet, which can hold up to 500 Rupees, in order to purchase it. The Giant Wallet can be obtained by completing the Oceanside Spider House, and then talking to the man who appears at the entrance.

Since the All-Night Mask prevents the wearer from falling asleep, Link can use it to stay awake during Anju's Grandmother's stories. The first story, entitled the Carnival of Time, lasts for two hours. With the All-Night Mask on, Link does not fall asleep, allowing him to collect a Piece of Heart at the end of the story. The second story, entitled the Four Giants, goes on until morning. Listening to this story also rewards Link with a Piece of Heart.

The All-Night Mask allows Link to stay awake during Anju's Grandmother's stories, both leading to a Piece of Heart. You will be able to listen to both her stories, but in order to get the piece of heart, she will quiz you. You can get two pieces of heart total with this mask.
The All-Night Mask is also required to obtain the Fierce Deity's Mask.
