Battle Talus can be found across Hyrule, such as in the North Hyrule Plain. It disguises itself by hiding as a collection of rocks underneath what would normally be a Bokoblin Camp. When Link draws near the Talus will raise from the ground, forming into an enemy that consists of both the Talus and the enemies that were on the platform.

It disguises itself by hiding as a collection of rocks underneath what would normally be a Bokoblin Camp. When Link draws near the Talus will raise from the ground, forming into an enemy that consists of both the Talus and the enemies that were on the platform. The Battle Talus can also be found walking around with the encampment on top, with Bokoblins keeping a sharp lookout for any targets-such as Link.

When Kilton moves to Tarrey Town, a Battle Talus is his third request for his Monster Collection, as per the A Monstrous Collection III sidequest.

Strategy
It is a good idea to try to take out as many of the Bokoblin that are on top of the Battle Talus first. Shoot an arrow to hit the ore deposit that is on top of the Battle Talus. This will temporarily stun the enemy. Run underneath the Talus and use Ascend to get up on top of the upper platform. From there, eliminate any remaining Bokoblin and then strike away at the Ore Deposit. After a short while, the Battle Talus will shake Link off, so jump away to avoid taking damage. Repeat this process until the Talus is defeated.

Rewards
Rewards
The Ore Deposit situated on the Stone Talus' body will occasionally drop some of its loot when struck. This includes gemstones such as Amber or Opal, or basic stones such as Flint. Upon death, the Stone Talus will drop many gemstones, including the aforementioned, as well as more rare gems, including Ruby.
