The <b>Deku Mask</b> is the first transformation mask that [[Link]] obtains in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask|Majora's Mask]]''. After being transformed into a [[Deku Scrub]] by [[Skull Kid]], Link is taught the [[Song of Healing]] by the [[Happy Mask Salesman]] and transforms the Deku Scrub's soul into this mask. The mask is very helpful and required to beat the [[Woodfall Temple]]. While wearing the mask, Link will use a the Deku Tuba instead of the [[Ocarina of Time]].

The Deku Mask resembles a [[Deku Scrub]]. It is one of the four [[Transformation]] masks that [[Link (Ocarina of Time)|Link]] can obtain. Link will receive the Deku Mask after he learns the [[Song of Healing]] and returns to [[Hylian]] form.


It is implied that the spirit within the Deku Mask is the missing son of the [[Deku Butler]].
The Deku Mask is strongly implied to contain the spirit of the [[Deku Butler's Son]]. When worn, Link will transform into [[Deku Link]], taking the form of the Deku Butler's Son and gaining new abilities. Link can remove the Deku Mask to return to his true form.

In ''[[Hyrule Warriors]]'', the Deku Mask can be obtained as an alternate costume for [[Lana]]. It was added to the [[Wii U]] version with the [[Majora's Mask Pack]] DLC.


== Abilities ==
The Deku Mask also appears as an [[Item Card]] on the [[Termina Map]]. When used on [[Deku Flower|Deku Flowers]], it enables the warrior to cross gaps, removing locks on adjacent squares.
When Link wears the mask, he is transformed into a [[Deku Scrub]]. In this form he can skip across water three times before falling in. His sword is replaced with a spin attack wich is much faster than normal walking. He can also shoot a bubble from the Deku's about, but it uses up magic power from his [[Magic Meter]]. Link can hold it at full charge but it will still deplete magic once he lets go. [[Deku Link]] is also able to enter Deku Flowers and then jump out of them, launching high into the air. Then Link can temporarily fly using leaves as propellers.
