Desert Lanmola: Difference between revisions

While exploring Yarna Desert, [[Link]] finds an area of quicksand where the Desert Lanmola makes its home. Getting annoyed by the hindrance Link is becoming,{{Ref|LADX|303|Desert Lanmola}} the Lanmola leaps out of the sand to run into Link, descending into another part of the sand.{{Ref|pg. 102|The Lanmola in the Yarna Desert leaps out of the sand, then reburies itself.|''Link's Awakening Nintendo Player's Guide''}} While the Desert Lanmola doesn't try to attack Link directly, the sand vortex at the center of the quicksand proves the biggest concern for Link because if he falls into the sand vortex and into the cave, the damage done to the Desert Lanmola will be reversed. By trying to avoid the center of the quicksand by using the [[Roc's Feather]],{{Ref|pg. 49|A leading monster historian suggests donning the Feather so you can avoid the sucking sands.|''Link's Awakening Nintendo Player's Guide''}} Link should slash at the head of the Lanmola with the [[sword]] after it has lept into the air,{{Ref|pg. 102|Anticipate where it will emerge and hit it on the head with your Sword.|''Link's Awakening Nintendo Player's Guide''}}{{Ref|pg. 49|Refer to the prophetic words of the Hyrulean Heroes Journal: when in doubt, smite thy foe on the noggin!|''Link's Awakening Nintendo Player's Guide''}} taking eights hits to defeat him with.
