Where's Rauru?

So, I just completed my 3 Heart Challenge in OoT yesterday (not the important part), and I was watching the end credits. It got to the part where everyone's partying in Lon Lon Ranch, and then the Sages fly over and land on Death Mountain. Not a big deal right? Well, I'm sure people have noticed this before, but where's Rauru? He's not there with them, and I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to where he is.

I don't really know either, but, I think there's 3 possible theory's to this. 1, he has to stay in the Sacred Realm forever, and 2, he got replaced by Zelda and she has to stay in the sacred realm forever. The other theory is that the other sages didn't tell Rauru that they were going on a trip cause all he does is complain about useless crap.

The fourth(which ties into SB'd third) and most likely one is because he is Kaepora Gaebora's alter ego no one wants to hang out with him.
