I've been watching the E3 trailer and playing Twlight Princess, and had an interesting thought. The Gale Boomerang is enchanted with the spirit and power of the "Fairy of Winds." Just who is the Fairy of Winds? Why was she mentioned briefly then snuffed out, never to be mentioned again?
Skyward Sword is thought of by many as a prequel that will explain how many things came to be. Now, in the trailer, we see Link seemingly blindly jumping off a cliff, into the clouds. Some have theorized that the "Skyward Sword" will in fact sprout wings and fly Link safely to Hyrule. While I'm not completely against this idea, I think its possible that the "Fairy of Winds" helps Link through the game. I have no proof of this; it is simply just an idea, an idea that I see as a little more plausible than the Sword growing wings.
