(Not so) witty replies:

1. She was never alive to begin with, she's just a bunch of polygons.

2. She died of old age, as TP was over 100 years after OoT. The real question is... is Benjamin Franklin DEAD?!?

3. No, she can't die as long as one person keeps playing Ocarina of Time and/or writing fan fiction for it.

Ok so OoT credits take place on the AT after adult Link kills ganon, we know this because the sages are flying around Hyrule during this celebration. That means that the spirit sages from TP could not be the AT sages transformed because TP exists on the CT. These sages are not the ones from before the OoT sages they are new ones just like it is a new Link because it is numerous years in the future, the sages from before Oot were animals as told by a sacred stone in the forest meadow, which goes onto say that that annoying owl used to a the previous sage of light or something. but of course i could be completely wrong.

Ruto is dead and has been for a long time, the Zora queen in TP was killed by the shadow beasts as an lesson to the zora people when the province was hyrule was put in checkmate by the forces of twilight.. just like they did at hyrule castle although we dont see this. but the queen tells us as much in part of her dialogue.

If i remember correctly wasn't Ruto or one of hter decendances married to a "certain hero of hyrule" from the past and that he ended up dead cuz of comitting some sin. Wouldn't that say that that in TP the previous king of zora used to be OoT link and proving its ruto who was that zora boy's mother?

I think that the sage of water in tp is Ruto. Meaning, yes, Ruto did die, or whoever the sage of water was, died. WAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!!!!!!The sage of water was a zora!WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!!!!

It wasn't Ruto. TP takes place in the child timeline, which means that Ruto was never awakened as a sage.

It would seem she is since in twilight princess ganon kills the sage of water...o_O

no, ruto is alive, well, she probably dies eventually of old age, or something, but tp takes place in the timeline following majora's mask. don't forget that. zelda has a split timeline.

Yes and no. she was not the sage that was killed by ganondorf, but she died of old age. assuming that zoras live as long as humans, Ralis is probably her great-grandson. and, of course, ruto can't die, because she is just a video game character

You mean the zora boys mother? Yes, that is ruto, and the sages do not live forever, they become spirits in the end of OOT, at the credits it shows them flying across the sky. So ruto is not "dead" techniaclly just in spirit form.
The zora boy's mother is Rutela, totally different person. Ruto, from OOT, was the princess of the Zora domain hundreds of years ago before she became the sage of water, so yes. She is dead.
