In the Games Where He Doesn't Wear Pants, What Does Link Wear Under His Tunic?

I have always wondered this and assumed it was just short shorts.

On a serious note, probably just some sort of undergarment. His tunic comes down almost to his knees, so there surely has to be something there, we just can't see it (thank you Nintendo).

Underwear. Either that or the undergarment tights cover the entire body, which can be supported slightly as medieval knights would usually wear a soft cotton garment under the chainmail and tunic/armour.
