It's kind of hard to "believe in [Aonuma] and wait" when we don't even know what the game is........

A teaser from the mouth of Aonuma himself.

http://au.ign.com/articles/2015/10/23/aonuma-teases-surprise-twist-for-zelda-wii-us-open-world
We actually had some feedback from Skyward Sword, where people were saying, 'This is not exactly the Zelda game I was looking for, I was looking for a bigger open world.'" Aonuma told IGN. “Unfortunately, I can’t go into details but I’m hoping to put a surprise, or kind of a twist, on my view of an open world game. I hope that you’ll look forward to it.
If we put all the feedback the fans write directly into the game, there won’t be an element of surprise,” he said. “If there’s a comment and they’re asking for certain element, I would think, 'Oh, why not interpret this in a different way that you wouldn’t expect?' That’s how we create a new element in a Zelda game. I always want to implement something new and surprising into every game.

It tells us something new that gives us something to speculate on!
I want to know what the 30th Anniversary special thing will be. Wre got that music CD for the 25th. I wonder what we'll get for the 30th. I guess we all should put down a few more $$ on our Zelda U pre-orders so we can have our pre-orders rolled over to the limited edition. This 30th Anniversary thing could be part of the Zelda U limited edition.

Finally! Now this is a decent interview excerpt. It tells us something new that gives us something to speculate on!
Finally!
Now can we have a trailer Mr Aonuma?
Quote from Mr. Aonuma himself:

"We're not going to make a trailer until we're ready. So probably 2017, even though we showed a trailer in 2014. It takes a while to make a medium sized game with no voice acting. Instead we're going to remake Skyward Sword and expect another two or three mediocre 3DS titles too!"

Nice satire there.

This hurts me so much because it's meant to be satire, but it's actually true in every sense of the statement:

Grossly early trailer that shouldn't have happened because release was so far off? Check.

5 year development cycle for SS despite it being barely passable in length and somehow having less explorable land that its predecessors? Check.

Multiple remakes (3, and now possibly 4) between single home console games that manage to span multiple generations? Check.

Zelda Wii U better blow my socks off the way Mario Galaxy or FFX did, or else it's going to seem like it wasn't worth even waiting for it in the first place.

Quote from Mr. Aonuma himself:

“The game will actually be released in 2018. It will have a overworld the size of Twilight Princess, but will be more innovative because you won't have to steer Epona; it was this top-notch mechanic which took us roughly two years to perfect. We hope you like Zelda Wii U, I'm sure you'll agree it was worth the wait.”

"Hello. I am here to share with you much anticipated Zelda Wii U information. In Zelda Wii U, you will traverse huge worlds with tons of stuff. And with that stuff, you will do stuff. Stuff that you cannot believe when you do the thing. The thing is very great indeed. I am very sorry we delayed for stuff, but we needed to implement this thing for stuff's sake. Thank you for your time."

If the above quote comes to fruition, and the Zelda Wii U title is released in 2018, could it be possible that it will be a Ninitendo Wii U / Nintendo NX release, a la Twilight Princess GameCube / Wii?
