I've tried several times to get the wagon with Ralis in it to Kakariko Village. The first part with the fire arrows is easy but the second part has me, the wagon, and a bunch of bulblins running in circles around South Hyrule. The end results are (a) the wagon burns up or (b) Link dies.

Does it matter that I have to kill all the bulblins? I heard that it is helpful to take out the kargarok and everything should be smooth sailing (or riding). Caleb makes it look easy on the video walkthrough.

The whole thing sounds like Oregon Trail on steroids...well, kinda.

Thanks for any help, tips, and pointers. :)

Use your gale boomerang to take out the kargarok when he is about to drop the bomb. and try to put out flames as they appear.
use your sword to take out the never ending bulbins.
If you don't protect it from the kargarok you'll go around in circles forever.

Hope this is helpful.

all you really need is the boomerang. make sure you z-target the kargaroc and the wagon don't try aiming or it takes to long and you are almost guaranteed a miss.

I hate this part. I recommend riding in front of the wagon when the kargaroks try and drop bombs. It makes it easier. I think everyone else gave a pretty clear description though. ;)

I tend to make good use of my bow during this section of the game. Especially to take out the bulbins and kargorok. But like others have pointed out if you are struggling it may be wise simply to concentrate on the wagon by using your boomerang to put out fires and shake off kargoroks. If you don't take em out before they drop their bombs the wagon turns round and circles back on itself and you have to repeat the last 30-60 seconds of the journey.

Thanks for the suggestions all. I've passed it with not-so-flying colors and now I'm in the water temple.

Instead of a covered wagon, it would be much easier to escort Prince Ralis in a WWII German Panzer tank, but that's just me :)
