Hello. For those who have Darksiders II (you lucky *******s ), are there collectibles and are they associated with any trophy/achievement?
There are TONS of collectibles... Misc artifacts, Book of the Dead pages, a variety of relics. Some of them are traded for gold/money to buy weapons/attacks/abilities. Some of them are part of collection quests that lead to new areas in the game.
Overall there is just a lot of 'stuff'. Many of these collectibles are part of side quests and you cannot actually get them until you start the side quest process. Kind of hard to explain, but the side quests are triggered, whether it be by talking to a character or performing an act.
Definitely more collectibles in DS II than part I. For sure.
What are the trophies/achievements that are associated to collectibles? There are definitely a few trophies in terms of collectibles but they are not as tedious as some other games. They are pretty reasonable.
What are the trophies/achievements that are associated to collectibles?
Amazing information. ThanksCollectable related achievements, and collectibles in total.
Collectables I am defining as things sprinkled throughout the game world, in limited quantities and specific locations. So gear would not be one of these things, but Book of the Dead pages are.
Achievements
1)GnoMAD: Find all of the gnomes. There are 4 in the entire game, and hidden very well. Obviously an easter egg.
2)The Book of the Dead: Turn in all 4 chapters of the Book of the Dead to Vulgrim. There are 40 pages in all, 10 pages per chapter. Each page collect adds to the current chapter, no matter what order they are collected. Sell the chapters to Vulgrim to gain access to special Treasure Vaults/Tombs.
3)Antiquing: Collect all 30 lost Relics and sell them to Ostegoth. There are three kinds, with different awards given for returning them. There are 15 Etu-Goth, 10 Renagoth and 5 Khagoth.
4)All You Can Eat Buffet: Collect all of the Stonebites strewn throughout the game and return them to Blackroot. They emit a "sound aura" that Death can hear when nearby, and can be collect with the pistol Redemption once Death gets the Lurestone from Blackroot. There are 34 Stones of Mystics, 25 Stones of Power, and 10 Stones of Resistance, making for a total of 69.
There is one more achievement that if you want to earn honorably, requires that you collect 10 Soul Arbiter Scrolls in order to navigate through. However, you do not need to collect them in order to progress through the labyrinth, as the directions they give are the same no matter the game, so the directions can just be looked up. The achievement is earned after progressing through the maze, not for directly collecting the scrolls.
I've Brought you a Gift: Defeat the Soul Arbiter at the end of the Soul Arbiter's maze.
In addition to the 10 normal scrolls, there are 10 Sacred Soul Arbiter Scrolls, which are sometimes not collectibles at all, but writing of directions on walls. Again, these are are the same no matter what, so they can be looked up instead of collected. There is no achievement associated with it, and they lead the way to secret treasure rooms in the Soul Arbiter's maze.
That is all of the ''Collectible" achievements. Hope this helped!
Amazing information. Thanks
One question. Do some side-quests become inaccessible at some point as you progress through the story?
Or are they all available even after finishing the game?
Also, any missable trophies/achievements?
