In case anyone missed the DLC trailer that was posted by Nintendo yesterday: It's all recycled footage, but it's nice to see a compilation of all the added DLC characters. I'm curious to see how the meta will progress now that development has ended and balance patches are supposedly done too.

This direct was simply amazing. Smash Wii U looks to be the best game in the series yet. I can't wait to play 8 man Smash, Master Order and Crazy Order, and Event Match. The Mewtwo announcement at the end made me one happy gamer. It's great to see the Melee veterans returning.

There have been some news posts on IGN stating hat the Wii U version of this game could release as soon as Spring 2014. While I'd like to play the game sooner rather than later, I'd prefer if both versions of the game released at the same time. Sakurai hasn't mentioned any development issues...
