I believe that it takes place after ALtTP-OoA/OoS. Simply for the same reasons as Faedeur's. Also I believe that Ganon's apperence was not only because his return was one of Link's nightmares but also a hint that Ganon would return later in TLoZ.

It could be Volvagia. I believe that it is Volvagia. Now whether or not we fight it is up for discussion. I believe that we will revisit the Fire Santuary and fight Volvagia alongside the Goron hero. But that's just my beliefs.
