Spoiler: you get a Huge Rupee if you kill him and if you enter Milk Road and go back to the Field, Takkuri returns allowing for quick cash.

If you have to Stone Mask wear it as you walk up to it and use arrows or hookshot(12 hits to kill) but if you magic arrows it takes 6 hits.
