Why Does Nintendo Hide Common Game Elements As "secrets"?

Nintendo has been casual ever since the NES days.

Why Does Nintendo Hide Common Game Elements As "secrets"?

Wouldn't it be more pleasing to fans if they knew ahead of time they're getting more value in what they buy >_>

Why Does Nintendo Hide Common Game Elements As "secrets"?

I don't understand this, really. Most games have an easy/normal/hard mode by default. But Nintendo doesn't advertise they have a hard mode in any of their games, instead it's some unlockable "secret." They're ... making themselves less desirable by pretending they don't have something that is...

    Are There Problems on Dolphin?

I'm gonna buy the game tomorrow to play through it a second time, this time IN GLORIOUS HIGH DEFINITION. The problem is I've heard there are some issues with Dolphin. To anyone who has played this game on Dolphin, have you experienced any of these issues? 1. Painterly depth of field blur does...

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

I'm not skipping dialogue. I want the ability to speed it up. The scrolling speed is so slow and there is no way to make it go faster. I've read the words before the next words are up, so it's like I'm listening to some third grader who doesn't know how to read. "the... dog... is.. r.. e.. d.."

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

I'm not lazy. I love to read. But a game in 2011 should really, really have voice acting.

Just Noticed How Brilliantly This Game is Catered Towards Casuals.

Nintendo has always impressed me with how their games have easy controls, dating back to Mario on the NES. The reason that series is so popular is because it's easy AND fun. Nintendo has never been a "hardcore" developer at heart, so the idea that they're only now becoming casual kinda makes me...

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

While the nitpicks do still annoy me (including no voice acting) I am quite impressed that the game has made me cry once despite being only text. That is very hard for a video game to do. Books? Sure, because words are all books have. But video games that are attempting to be cinematic MUST have...

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

How are these things nitpicks if they are all annoying and need to be fixed and addressed? At what point is something a "real" flaw instead of a "nitpick"?

Gamespot Gives Skyward Sword a 7.5???!!!

I'm sure someone else has already posted this, but if they haven't it needs to be seen by all of you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNHMnLs20bM

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

Why is "a Zelda thing" an acceptable excuse? Like, just accepting the series' flaws as "quirks" that are part of the series, what?

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

Man, it is astounding how fanboys will defend something they've not even played. I'm not even saying the game is BAD, this is the best Zelda game ever made, and yet it is still not a 10/10. It's gonna be amusing if when the game is released you guys end up having some of the same complaints, but...

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

.. what. Lord, your reading comprehension is.. well, non-existent. 1. I am saying it is terrible that we start with six hearts when we die. This happened with older games, too. When we got a game over, we'd start back with 3 hearts instead of full health, for no good reason. There is no real...

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

There is a difference between Sheikah Stones and Gossip Stones. Also it's weird how many people are forgiving starting with 6 hearts for no good reason. It's never made sense. Another flaw I've found in the Tentalus battle: the skyward strike is annoying to activate, you really have to hold...

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

There are a few cutscenes that can be skipped with 2, but bizarrely they are short ones and not usually the boss encounter ones. Also, the idea of calling me biased is hilarious because it works the other way, as well.
