The Picori are an incredibly tiny race found only in The Minish Cap. They are only visible to children and cannot be seen by adults. In The Minish Cap, the people of Hyrule tell legends about the Picori and their ancestors, the Minish. When Link rescues Elzo, (the once Minish sage turned into a bird-like cap that Link wears), the intriguing little hat that can talk gives Link the ability to shrink down to Minish size. This turns Link into a very small Picori-sized being. This allows him to interact with the world in a very different way. Link's ability to turn Minish heavily affects the story and gameplay, being a major factor throughout the Minish Cap (hense the name). The Picori also have their own language which Link cannot speak at first until he obtains the Jabbernut.
