'''Death Mountain Trail''' is the pathway ascending the slopes of [[Death Mountain]]; it connects [[Goron City]] and [[Kakariko Village]] in [[Ocarina of Time]].{{Ref|OoT|1197|[[Goron]]}} The trail begins at a gate monitored by a guard at the western end of [[Kakariko Village]] and goes to the [[Death Mountain Summit|Summit of Death Mountain]]. Along the trail is the entrance to [[Dodongo's Cavern]], which is made accessible by throwing a [[Bomb Flower]] from higher up on the trail at the boulder blocking the way. There is also a [[Heart Piece]] atop the entrance to [[Dodongo's Cavern]] that can be collected either by backflipping from a higher point of the trail or by planting a [[Magic Bean]] at the base. After obtaining the [[Bomb Bag]] from [[Dodongo's Cavern]], [[Link]] can destroy rocks on the side of the path exposing alcoves with hidden treasures inside them. There are many [[Goron]]s along the trail along with some [[Tektite]]s.
