As such, plot-related characters with pictures in the Compendium like [[Master Kohga]] can be rendered irrecoverable if the side quest ''[[The Thunder Helm]]'' is completed before taking a picture of him, because the completion of the quest removes him from the game. This would effectively prevent the Compendium from being completed. Other plot-related pictures that can become irrecoverable include [[Thunderblight Ganon]], [[Waterblight Ganon]], [[Fireblight Ganon]] and [[Windblight Ganon]], though these can be recovered if the player has purchased the [[Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass]] including [[EX The Champions' Ballad]], as this allows further contact with said blights and gives further opportunities to take their pictures.
 *If no picture was taken of the [[Master Sword]] before obtaining it from the [[Korok Forest]], as the obtained sword can't be dropped to take a picture from a distance, a picture can be taken by making a self-portrait while having the sword equipped on its own without shields or bows. The self-portrait feature of the [[Camera Rune]] also allows detection of the sword.
