Apart from the Master Cycle Zero, horses are the main alternative to walking as a means of transportation in Breath of the Wild. They can be found all over Hyrule, but are clustered particularly around Ash Swamp, Upland Lindor, and west of Millennio Sandbar. Typically, horses with a mottled coat are marginally slower/weaker than horses with a solid coat.

The Giant Horse can be found in the Taobab Grassland. As its name suggests, it is the largest horse in the game, and as such has the fastest canter of any horse in the game, although it is unable to gallop. Once registered at a stable, the horse gets its own unique bridle and saddle due to its size, and therefore cannot be equipped with any others. Its unique orange mane and tail coloring make it easy to spot in its herd, and it bears resemblance to Ganondorf's steed from previous games.

The White Horse can be found near Safula Hill and the Sanidin Park Ruins. It highly resembles Zelda's horse that she rode to the Sanidin Park Ruins with Link in a memory, and it is likely that the two horses are related. Other than that, the horse holds little additional value, as it has worse stats than other certain horses.
