Each Zelda game contains a map.  Several of the Zelda games include a map of Hyrule, while others do not have the town of Hyrule in their game play.  Each map is notably different. Hyrule first appears in The Legend of Zelda as part of the overworld and is portrayed in different ways throughout the Zelda games.  Hyrule is associated with the Royal Family and Hyrule Castle.

The Map of Hyrule is an item from The Minish Cap. It is a map of Hyrule that is given to Link by Master Smith in Hyrule Castle. When Link enters an area, that area will be added to the map. Certain events or locations of objectives are automatically marked on the map, such as the locations and effects of Kinstone fusions.
