PS. I don't consider Smash Bros an IP. It's more a collection of IPs all in one game. Same deal with Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm.

I actually quite disagree with this.

Fun is not the only reason to play games.

I don't play Skyrim or Final Fantasy to have fun. I play it to see really amazing stories and characters, and to get immersed in new worlds.

I don't play horror games to have fun, I play it to get scared.

This list goes on and on. But games don't necessarily equate to fun. Splatoon I play for fun. A lot of games I play because they are fun. But fun is not the only reason to play games.
