Wii Problems

Hey, I seem to have a problem with my wii. If I put it any discs, after a few seconds, on the wii menu it comes up with a black screen saying :An error has occured, please eject the game disc, turn the power off and refer to the wii manual. Is my wii screwed, or do I have just have to send it in to repair, and if so, can my save games still be on the system as I don't have the energy or the time to get 100% on my games all over again. Thanks (sorry if the message sounds blunt, I am just a bit worried. Also, I live in Australia)

It sounds like your Wii's optical drive has finally died.

However, you may still be able to get to your Wii's memory and retrieve your saved games with an SD card. Just don't insert any discs, and navigate to the Wii's internal memory... copy everything over to your SD card.

You won't be able to save your Wiiware this way, but you can save your saved games.
