What is your favourite kind of cereal?

I eat cereal more as a snack in the evenings if I'm waaay too busy with work. I love organic cinnamon crunch from Cascadian Farms with plain almond milk. It's not sweet, but the cinnamon is so good. Plus I get peace of mind knowing it is an organic product, which has less negative impacts on the environment.

In culture class we learned that the northern English have carling with their cereal.

As a Northern Englishman, I can in fact confirm we eat our cereal with carling. Although it's better with whiskey.
Cookie Crisp is my favourite.

Pretty much any cereal that has one or more of the following in it: cinnamon, sugar, chocolate, vanilla, almonds, yogurt.
A few specific cereals that I really like are Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Flakes, Vanilla Rice Krispies, Nesquik, and Reese Puffs. For healthier options, I find I really like some Special K cereals too.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch is probably my favourite.
