Tri Force Heroes Tri force Heroes Timeline Placement

From the looks of it, it looks like it may be on the adult timeline, in the same Hyrule that Spirit Tracks takes place in.

Where do you guys think this game will land on the timeline?

Adult timeline?

Honestly, maybe I'm being a bit lazy here, but I'm thinking this is takes place either before or after A Link Between Worlds, if it even is on the timeline. That would place it on the Downfall timeline. My reasoning for this is that games that have used the same art style have almost always been on the same split of the timeline: see LA and OoX, OoT and MM, PH and ST. The one exception is the Four Swords games, but that's more complicated because Four Swords takes place before the timeline split. I don't think that will be the case with Tri Force Heroes.

This is assuming it is a main series game, which while it hasn't been confirmed nor denied (they said nothing on the matter), it's pretty unlikely that it'll take place within the main games continuity at all.

That being said, though, to answer the thread's question, I would probably place it in the Downfall Timeline, simply because of the art style. TWW-PH-ST, same art style. ALttP-ALBW, same artstyle but updated. OoT-MM, same artstyle. ALBW-TFH, same artstyle. Seems to be a trend. We don't know anything about the game storywise, so that's all we have to go on. Because of this, I think that's the safest place to put it.

Its probably canon, the FS games are canon so why not this one?

To me its on the defeated timeline sometime after ALBW (could be before but I think after is a little more likely at this point).

It's after A Link Between Worlds most likely. Same artstyle is basically the only thing we have to go off, but you can also say same enemies etc.

Part of me wants to say Pre-Split for some reason (mostly because of the Kokiri Clothes present) but I definitely think Nintendo would actually likely go for Downfall Timeline, sometime after ALBW, mostly just by the way they talked about one of the bosses. As they confirmed one of the bosses is the same from ALBW, but with some upgrades. Yes, I'm referring to Margoma which has been confirmed to be an upgraded version of Margomill from ALBW

Also, according the trailer, I also noticed there will an upgraded version of Giant Moldorm from ALttP and ALBW as well.

It'll probably come after A Link Between Worlds, but like Ezlo said:

There is a possiblity it won't be a canon game, it might be sort of like Hyrule Warriors.

It'll probably be one of those "this can go anywhere" games like LA was before OoX came along, or FS before MC and FSA. The story doesn't touch on any recurring themes, and judging from the title they don't care about Triforce canon.

I think it will be in the downfall timeline.
Right after Spirit Tracks.
The world there is already very connected with its use of trains, and their obsession with fashion could be due to the commercialism surrounding that.

Don't you mean Adult Timeline then? Also I think the game's world will exist set place in ALBW's era in the Decline Timeline but with a Link from the Adult Timeline who somehow finds himself stranded in this new world present in the Decline Timeline that is strange to him similar to when OoT Link found himself in a Termina that present in a alternate timeline in MM.

So like MM, because of Link's history, the game will probably be officially placed in the Adult Timeline as an Adult Timeline game due to the presence of a Toon Link who is likely from the Adult Timeline but also have a place in the Decline Timeline as well cause of the world's history.

I honestly don't think it should be in the failure timeline like Albw is. I think it could possibly be in the Adult timeline after Spirit Tracks or in the Child timeline either before or after Four Swords Adventures.

The game is obviously the fourth time line. A split right before four swords.
I would be so mad if Nintendo actually split the timeline again. It was confusing enough when we thought there were only two timelines.

It would be cool if the game was set before the split. I personally don't think it should be put into the downfall timeline. It's not that it wouldn't work (because it totally would). I just don't think that most fans want Triforce Heroes in the same timeline as a game like A Link to the Past.
